COUTURE — Black Denim & Lace Skirt

A couture commission built from a client's own black glossy designer jeans — a deconstructed and distressed take on the denim, with black embroidered lace layered over army green silk charmeuse. The lace was hand cut in the atelier, the scallop shaped with hidden joins, then hand sewn to the body of the skirt. You can't tell, but in many places the original seams were torn apart and resewn for fit. Like all FERN couture, this piece will never be made again exactly as shown — each commission is singular by design.
